The new Mortal Kombat is a sequel to the classic 1997 released Mortal Kombat Annihilation. Which at that time was not very popular due to its VFX and a loose story. But this Mortal Kombat has everything that the first one misses. A realistic VFX and a story that was good enough to hook up the audience with the film.

There is not any confirmation about the film at that time. Not by the director or not by the Warner bros.
