PUBG Mobile ban in India

PUBG Mobile has been a very popular game for a long time in India. And for almost 2 years it rules mobile gaming. But in this year on 2nd September 2020 Indian government ban PUBG Mobile in India. And this causes huge damage to the Company. And fans of the game also get upset when the ban is announced for PUBG.

PUBG is a Korean game that is developed and publishes by PUBG corp, and the PC version of the game is handled by them. But in India and China, the publishing right of the game is acquired by Tencent.

And in September 2020 Indian Government ban some of the apps that include PUBG Mobile under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act 2009. But after the ban, many news related to the game circulated by Company and by their fans. In the starting phase Company also announced that they are withdrawing their partnership with Tencent and tie-up with first Jio or Airtel in India. And release its game again.

And that’s why the excitement of the fans is also high when they listen to this news. But now an Official statement is passed by Tencent that the game is not coming to India back. It is a bit shocking and sad news for Indian users who plays the PUBG Mobile but it is true and confirm by PUBG itself.

PUBG Mobile terminate all services and access of users in India-

On 29th October PUBG Corporation write a post on their Facebook page. And announced that all their servers and access to the accounts will be terminated in India. That includes a complete ban on both PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite.

Dear Fans’ To Comply with the interim order of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology dated September 2, 2020, Tencent Games will terminate all services and access for users in India To PUBG Mobile Nordic Map: Livik and PUBG Mobile Lite (Together, “PUBG Mobile”) On October 30, 2020. The right to publish PUBG Mobile in India will be returned to the owner of the PUBG intellectual property. Protecting user data has always been a top priority and we have always complied with applicable data protection laws and regulations in India. All users’ gameplay information is processed in a transparent manner, as disclosed in our privacy policy. We deeply regret this outcome, and sincerely thank you for your support and love for PUBG MOBILE in India
