Banning on Chinese apps demand has been rising in social media and other platforms for a long time. But there are not any official statements or actions are taken by the Indian government in past. But last Monday the Indian government decided to ban 59 Chinese apps that are directly related to Chinese companies or being managed by the Chinese companies. If we see the list of apps we see some famous apps like TikTok, UC browser, and cam scanner which are banned in India now. In the list of the banned app, we also see some apps which have more than 50 million-plus download in India which is huge in number.
For banning these apps government gives the statement that. These apps are engaged in activities and the action is taken for the interest of sovereignty and integrity of India and for the citizens of India. And within 24 hours most of the banned apps are removed from both Play Store and App Store. And now these apps are also blocked by ISPs. So these apps can not be worked on any Indian network service provider.
